Scientific interests:
evaluation of thallium contamination of different environmental
components,
to search for novel sources of environmental contamination with thallium
which were not described to date,
to determine the hazards associated with current pathways for spreading
thallium contaminations in the environment,
to recognize the bioavailable forms of thallium and determine the
possibility of its migration in selected components of the environment,
to eliminate the factors which are hazardous for the health and
environment by using novel measuring materials (for determination of
thallium in environmental samples: plants, water and soil), which would
serve as an alternative to the currently used toxic mercury membrane
electrode,
design, characterization and use of a novel modified electrodes in
voltamperometric analysis of thallium based on lignosulfonate-stabilised
gold nanoparticles and unique nanomaterial – reduced graphene oxide.
